Connect

The i4M Tacho acts as a Wi-Fi hotspot.

To connect, navigate to your device's Wi-Fi settings and select TACHO from available networks.

Coms Status

Any screen which requires communication with the i4M Tacho will have a coms status button in the top right section of the screen. This indicates whether the device is successfully communicating with the i4M Tacho or not. Tap this button to open the device's Wi-Fi settings.

A list of coms status images and corresponding descriptions are shown in the table below.

Coms Status Image Description
coms-unknown

Coms status is unknown. The device is trying to communicate with the i4M Tacho but has not yet received a response. This is the initial status when a new screen opens, while the device tries to establish a connection. Once a connection has either succeeded or failed, the coms status will update accordingly.

coms-ok

The device is successfully communicating with the i4M Tacho.

coms-fail

The device is not communicating with the i4M Tacho.

If TACHO does not appear as an available Wi-Fi network, please check:
  • Your device has Wi-Fi enabled. This can be found in the devices Wi-Fi settings.
  • The i4M Tacho is powered on. For more information, see Power.
